Brush Redesign

Bristle & Sponge Brush Set
Design for Manufacture | Cost | user experience | Retail placement
The redesigned brush set combines a modern, minimalist aesthetic with the practical cleaning needs of new parents.
Its neutral color palette, tapered silhouette, and carefully refined features create a clean, contemporary look that fits seamlessly into modern households. Thoughtful design choices, such as the stabler base, flatter bristle top for improved cleaning efficiency, and selectively overmolded TPE for intuitive functionality, ensure a balance of elegance and practicality.
This project exemplifies the principle "form follows function," offering an affordable, effective solution for everyday parenting needs.
The extended nipple brush handle, with selectively molded TPE, improves grip and maneuverability, ensuring ease of use without increasing production costs.
The neutral tapered handle shared between the two brushes, ensuring a harmonious look within the family set. The taper angle also eliminates restrictions on hand placement, allowing adaptability for various bottle heights and shapes.

Compared to the original brush (on the left), the tapered handle (on the right) allows more flexible hand placement, making it easier to clean longer baby bottles with the smaller brush.
The mixed-color bristle CMF offers a modern aesthetic and a distinctive look within the category at no added cost. However, the white bristle CMF better complements most home interiors and aligns with the expectations for an entry-level, short-lifespan product. As a result, it was chosen for mass production.
